About the roleAs our Head of Security, you will own and shape the entire security strategy at Finary. Reporting to the VP of Engineering (Bertrand Lehurt), you'll define and execute our security roadmap, lead initiatives to protect our infrastructure and data, and partner with the compliance team to support regulatory needs. From evaluating and implementing modern security tooling to setting up scalable policies and procedures, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of security in a high-growth, cloud-native fintech environment.
It's a hands-on role, meaning that each solution you suggest will be put in place by you.
The compliance scope is managed by our compliance's team - reporting to the VP Ops - and is not part of the scope of the Head of Security at Finary.
This is a hybrid position based in Paris, with flexibility for remote work.
You’d be a great fit if you:Have 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong track record in ownership roles
Have deep knowledge of cloud security, especially within GCP environments
Have a solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Have knowledge on SAST/DAST tooling
Are proficient in deploying and managing modern security solutions and processes
Know how to work cross-functionally, especially with compliance and engineering teams
Are comfortable making strategic decisions while still being hands-on
Can assess risks pragmatically and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact B2C startup environment
You are a French speaker (because you need to discuss with French regulatory authorities)
Have experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other security compliance frameworks
Have previously worked in a fintech or other regulated industry
Have experience with Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Aikido, Push Security or Kandji
Have experience scaling security practices from 0 → 1 in a high-growth company
