Arjo is a company dedicated to improving health and mobility for individuals with challenges. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide essential medical equipment services, including maintenance and repairs, while building positive relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, upgrades, and in‑services on Arjo medical equipment at customer sites
- Provide technical diagnosis, prepare repair cost estimates, and complete service on customer‑owned medical equipment
- Grow service revenue by identifying opportunities for new and renewal service contracts within the assigned territory
- Partner with the Sales team on joint calls, product demos, in‑services, and trade‑show support
- Deliver all services in accordance with Arjo warranty/contract policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with customers and internal partners
- Manage local and van spare parts inventory
- Complete and submit all service reports, documentation, and required training within required timelines
- Participate in regulatory investigations by providing product assessments and required documentation
- Support quality‑related activities including QC checks, aesthetic maintenance, cleaning procedures, and product handling processes
- Comply with all quality, safety, and compliance requirements, including FDA and worldwide medical device regulations
- Work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, based on customer or business needs
- Travel regularly by car (and occasionally by air) to customer locations; overnight travel varies by territory
Skills
- Must reside within the assigned territory; company vehicle provided
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, push/pull loads, and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to use required PPE, including biological/chemical protection, as needed
- Must be able to complete required inoculations
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related office tools to complete assignments
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience with electromechanical repair and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Experience with electrical/mechanical assembly
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license
- Associate's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical fields preferred
- Repair certifications or technical training preferred
- Sales or customer‑facing experience a plus
