Family Resource Navigator / Data Support and Adult Engagement Specialist

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving immigrants and refugees in Portland, Oregon. This role aims to support families in achieving economic security through resource navigation and data management, focusing on improving housing stability and engaging adult participants in community resources. Responsibilities - Works as part of the SUN Community School team and within the school-based team to build trusting relationships with families from multiple schools - Works with the SUN Site Managers and the Family Resource Navigator (FRN) team to plan and implement adult education events - Support FRN team with entering and cleaning up data entry in WellSky - Support with communicating to FRN clients at sites where language support is needed or requested - Submit documentation and referrals for all applicants in the designated outreach zone, in collaboration with FRN colleagues - Work closely with FRN colleagues to ensure that all clients are contacted and data is tracked in the database - Community responsive communication, outreach and engagement with students, parents, families, school staff, and community members - Conduct client assessments to determine eligibility for social service support programs and other resources available in the community, in person at multiple schools in the designated outreach areas - Refer families to community resources that address and assist in their universal household needs. Facilitate completion of application forms and document collection and review for internal program referrals - Support families to navigate or access internal/IRCO programs as well as external/community systems of care (for example: housing programs, rent and utilities assistance, food resources, public benefits, employment systems and/or school-based resources) - Maintains files and documentation as required - Perform administrative work in a timely and accurate manner, including report writing, data entry, timesheets, tracking participant enrollment, referrals, attendance and completion of internal IRCO forms for the HR and Finance Departments - Conduct follow-up assessments for all participants who have exited the program - Develop and maintain a centralized Information & referral tracking system for the school communities that are served - Attend required training and meetings conducted by IRCO, IRCO SUN Team, Multnomah County, the school/district and community work groups, in person, as assigned - Meet performance and contract expectations related to FRN outputs & outcomes - Accepts other appropriate duties/responsibilities as assigned by IRCO SUN Manager or SUN Supervisor - Effectively work with individuals of multibackgrounds - Actively work to disrupt illegal or unlawful treatment based on race and systematic illegal denial of fair treatment through full participation program practice and implementation - Utilize bilingual skills to support community focused communication with students, families, and clients in their preferred language, when possible Skills - Must pass ODE/school district background check - On-site position; Hybrid work may be discussed - Proficiency in English required. Bilingual in a 2nd Language preferred in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Chuukese, Ukrainian or other languages commonly spoken by the families enrolled at the schools - Possession of a valid driver's license with a verification of current auto-insurance and full use of automobile during work hours - Previous data entry experience in WellSky is required - Must be 18 years or older - Must be able to pass Oregon Department of Education (ODE) fingerprint background check - High School degree or equivalent preferred.
