As a strategy leader on our newly formed Partner Driven Scheduling team, you'll play a crucial role in helping us reimagine scheduling for our hourly partners and store managers, ensuring that the schedules our partners live by better reflect their preferences and needs.
About the Role
This is a remote job opportunity with a competitive salary of $25/hour. As a strategy leader, you'll lead the development and execution of scheduling-centered programs and initiatives, coordinating the efforts of cross-functional teams to help Starbucks move rapidly towards its vision to have the best jobs in retail. You'll contribute to a better partner experience by identifying key pain points and valuable opportunities, fostering a cross-functional problem-solving approach, and developing and communicating recommendations to leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prioritize strategies to drive partner-driven scheduling, supported by data and insights
- Lead key problem-solving efforts to identify major questions, develop hypotheses, and design required analyses
- Conduct analyses and issue addressing to make informed recommendations to organizational and enterprise leadership
- Simplify and interpret complex and ambiguous issues into clear pathways to execution
- Engage and coordinate cross-functional teams by establishing goals, building performance plans, and developing capabilities across key business units
- Ensure successful execution of key program objectives, adjusting priorities and approach as needed to manage emerging issues and deliver results
- Guide teams in thinking through complex and ambiguous issues and identifying effective solutions
- Develop and tell stories with data and insights that are compelling and effective for leaders, partners, and investors
Essential Qualifications
- Passion for strategy development, workforce development, and future vision development
- Skill in setting strategies, prioritizing, communicating, and reporting results
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to drive results
- Compelling and effective oral and written storytelling skills and strong executive presence
- Experience developing change management and communications plans with strong ability to articulate
- 3+ years of experience developing and delivering comprehensive strategies
- 3+ years of experience in strategic and analytical leadership at junior/middle level
- 5+ years of experience in strategic consulting, brand/product management, or research
- 5+ years of experience with program management and leading cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of experience supporting operating plans, schedule management, and business packaging
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the retail, food service, or hospitality industries
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to scheduling and workforce management
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation, particularly in the context of scheduling and workforce management
