About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for policyholders and interested third parties, handling a high volume of inbound calls (up to 70-120 calls per day). You'll provide expert guidance on policy coverage, claim status, and other policy-related information, ensuring that customer needs are met on every interaction. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will enable you to deliver outstanding service while maintaining adherence to defined operational standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties, providing timely and professional support.
• Review and maintain knowledge of new and revised procedures regarding policy information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure customer needs are met on every interaction, whether via phone, email, or written correspondence.
• Maintain department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management.
• Utilize multiple systems to resolve customer inquiries and issues efficiently.
• Focus on achieving first contact resolution and high customer satisfaction ratings.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A minimum of 1+ year of work experience in a high-volume contact center environment. Previous experience as a receptionist or in a role involving frequent phone interactions is also considered.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 20 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download, and a hard-wired connection.
• A smartphone to access VPN.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain excellent organization and time management skills.
• A quiet and professional workspace.
• Willingness to obtain a fire extinguisher for your home workspace (for safety reasons).

While not required, previous experience in the insurance industry and remote work experience are considered a plus.

Training and Schedule

Our comprehensive training program is 2-3 weeks long, conducted Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm CST. Upon completion of training, you'll be assigned to a 40-hour workweek, with a schedule between 7:30 am - 6:30 pm CST, Monday-Friday. No weekend shifts are typically required, unless overtime is presented.
