**About the Role**
As a Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Providing exceptional customer service, greeting and welcoming customers, and demonstrating active selling techniques to drive sales
* Maintaining a visually appealing store environment, including setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays
* Operating cash registers, assisting customers with check-out, and executing cash handling procedures
* Supporting inventory and order fulfillment, including receiving and processing incoming merchandise and assisting with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests
* Providing customer care support, including responding to customer inquiries and assisting with digital and in-store shopping experiences
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Greet and welcome customers into the department, providing a positive and engaging customer experience
* Work successfully as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
* Be dependable in attendance and punctuality, as well as flexible in your schedule based on business needs
* Demonstrate excellent computer/systems competency, including operating cash registers and processing transactions
* Maintain a visually appealing store environment, including setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays
* Provide customer care support, including responding to customer inquiries and assisting with digital and in-store shopping experiences
**Qualifications:**
* Pleasant personality, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for working with the public
* Moderate computer/systems competency, including operating cash registers and processing transactions
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to occasionally climb ladders and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
* Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required
