About the Role
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced bookkeeper who is passionate about working with numbers and helping businesses succeed. As a Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper, you will have the freedom to work from home, set your own schedule, and enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $25.00. You will be responsible for providing exceptional bookkeeping services to our clients, including entering monthly transactions, reconciling accounts, invoicing, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter monthly transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and other software
- Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, and match invoice payments to keep accounts receivable up to date
- Manage accounts payable, including entering bills into bill.com, bank ACH, Melio, QBO AP, or other software
- Download bank statements and perform other tasks to support the team
- Potential opportunity to run payroll for clients
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accrual accounting and journal entries
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Located in the Denver metro area, with occasional in-person meetings with clients
Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Tax preparation experience
- Knowledge of payroll integration, sales tax, and Excel pivot tables and vlookups
- Experience with QB Desktop, Sage, or other accounting software
- HR or operations experience
- A growth mindset, with a desire to learn and take on new challenges
