As a chat representative, you'll have the opportunity to work with diverse clients, including some of the biggest names in the music industry, and help fans get their questions answered about their favorite artists.
**Key Responsibilities**
As an experienced chat representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Expressing genuine empathy and concern for customers' issues and addressing them as if they were your own
* Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests from customers having questions or experiencing problems with services or products
* Identifying high-risk customer situations and escalating them appropriately without hesitation
* Keeping up with multiple chats at a time and accurately documenting all required information and chat details in the ticketing system
* Responding to and resolving open issues in an appropriate timeframe
* Identifying trends related to systems, platforms, and/or customers and escalating them to management
* Multi-tasking using multiple systems and skillfully changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
* Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times and remaining positive and professional in all customer interactions
* Flexibility to cross-train as requested
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A LOVE of music, with a strong understanding of the music industry and its trends
* 1-3 years of call center chat experience, with a strong focus on customer support
* Technical experience, preferably with Zendesk, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems
* The ability to type 30 wpm with 90% accuracy or above consistently
* Strong messaging communication skills, active listening abilities, and a great understanding of text and chat acronyms
* Excellent grammar and the ability to use industry-specific lingo when necessary
* Previous work-from-home experience and a strong understanding of contact center support metrics and the ability to implement actions for improvement
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
* A High School Diploma or equivalent
* Experience working with diverse clients and cultures
* A strong understanding of the music industry and its trends
* Experience with Zendesk and other customer support software
* A strong focus on customer satisfaction and experience
**Hardware and Software Requirements**
To ensure a seamless and efficient experience, you'll need:
* Your own computer, with a processor of Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater (4 cores)
* 8GB of RAM on Windows 10 or higher / 10 64 bits
* A screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher, with dual monitors and a webcam
* A USB headset and up-to-date antivirus software
* A hardwired connection to your router and a firewall enabled
