Your primary duties will include: * Communicating with new patients to explain the billing procedure * Proactively reaching out to patients with billing policy changes * Addressing patient concerns within the duration of the initial call or escalating to a manager if necessary * Conducting follow-up phone calls to patients as needed, recognizing and resolving customer issues in a timely manner, and escalating to leadership as necessary * Serving as an initial and consistent point of contact for patients regarding the Financial Assistance Program (FAP), including statements, insurance changes, and charges * Managing, updating, and communicating all aspects of the FAP to the appropriate department * Communicating and obtaining any requested patient information changes for database maintenance/updates * Inputting data into the company computer platform to keep each customer record updated * Sharing knowledge gained with other staff members and working as a team * Interacting with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner * Recognizing patients' rights and responsibilities and supporting them in the performance of job duties, respecting patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality * Performing other job-related duties as assigned **Essential Qualifications** * A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is required; some college preferred with collections, verification, and/or analysis experience; customer service call center experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Strong customer service acumen * Effective verbal and listening communication skills * Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and work independently * Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy * Basic computer proficiency * Ability to quickly learn the use of Lynx and CPR+ * Knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in medical insurance or customer service * Familiarity with the Financial Assistance Program (FAP) and its processes * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a remote employee, you'll enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to work from the comfort of your own home. arenaflex offers a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration, growth, and mutual respect.
