About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Math Instructor/Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment that fosters academic excellence and a love of mathematics

Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value, and communicating effectively with them about their child's progress and goals

Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using technology to enhance the learning experience and make math more engaging and accessible for students

Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, which include individualized instruction in a group setting

Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students, identifying areas where they need extra support and developing strategies to help them succeed

Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their understanding and skills

Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring that the center is well-organized and conducive to learning

Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the center and the success of the team

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful as a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Benton Bryant, you will need:

A passion for math and working with students, with a strong desire to help them achieve their full potential and develop a love of mathematics

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and build strong relationships with them

Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles, and the ability to explain them clearly and simply

Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively, with a strong focus on organization and attention to detail

Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
