About Global Network Strategy & Transformation
Global Network Strategy & Transformation (GNS&T) is a dynamic team that envisions and executes the transformation of American Express's payment network, driving business differentiation, growth, and rapid innovation. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our digital global payments network.
Job Description: Manager - Digital Portfolio Management
Reporting to the Director, Investment & Capacity Planning, you'll be responsible for defining and developing a capacity planning model for Network & Acquirer Solutions, driving effective change in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and operate a capacity model to facilitate rapid sizing and delivery scheduling, responding to an evolving Product Roadmap.
- Develop and maintain a detailed program scope and capability framework (level 2) and collaborate with teams across the program.
- Publish and report on capacity and scheduling options, identify optimization opportunities, and drive capacity-driven capability build roadmaps with AET and GNO teams.
- Produce presentation materials for executive updates.
- Engage and support global business teams, product leaders, engineering, and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven program management expertise, including the ability to develop and maintain an effective integration with other dependent workstreams.
- Strong understanding of the Product Management lifecycle.
- Experience developing capacity (resource/infrastructure) models to facilitate the software build within planned schedule and funding constraints.
- Experience and knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and partner with internal teams.
- Innovative leader with the ability to think creatively to solve problems.
- Customer-focused.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the payments industry or a related field.
- Knowledge of digital payment networks and emerging trends.
