About the Role
As a key member of our Support Center team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients, resolving issues, and fulfilling service desk requests that require IT involvement. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a collaborative and dynamic team. Our Support Center operates 24/7, and this role is specifically for the evening shift, Friday through Tuesday, from 4:30 pm EST to 12:30 am EST.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer support requests via phone, email, chat, or customer portal, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
- Utilize our monitoring and cybersecurity systems to triage alerts and alarms, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to jointly solve problems and provide excellent customer service.
- Troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues, including server, network, and PC problems, as well as cloud systems.
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 technicians as needed, ensuring seamless resolution.
- Document resolutions and build knowledge base articles to enhance our support processes.
- Engage in continued certification training to improve your skillset and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Track time and activity in our ticketing system, ensuring accurate records and efficient issue resolution.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in administering/supporting LAN/WAN environments, Office365, Azure, Network Operations Center, or help desk/customer service.
- Experience with PSA and RMM Tools, with a strong understanding of IT service management principles.
- Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft365 administration.
- A fundamental understanding of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP, as well as knowledge of backup technologies and security practices.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft Beginner Certificates, and Security+.
- An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange, and SQL Server.
