About the Role: IT Data Analyst/Project Manager - Remote
We are seeking an experienced IT Data Analyst and Project Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities:
- Own the truth in Store Operations data through governance and process, including the acquisition, management, automation, and integrity of all data.
- Champion the data needs and priorities of the HQ Store Operations team, coordinating with key business, data, and tech partners across the Allied Global Marketing organization.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to deliver high-quality solutions and recommendations to a variety of problems.
- Provide support on data design requirements and delivery for all Store Operations programs and initiatives.
- Dive deep into complex business problems and provide insights on performance through hypothesis testing and monitoring trends in key metrics.
- Develop and manage the environment of reports and analysis, delivering a simple and organized user access and experience.
- Support the development of interactive data visualizations, reports, and effective analysis.
- Support the analysis and diagnosis around business performance and provide expert guidance to improve results.
- Use advanced analytical and statistical practices to create thorough and actionable insights.
- Maintain and improve a suite of analytical tools used to drive positive business outcomes.
- Excel at compelling storytelling with data, providing clear insights that bring facts to support business hypotheses and anecdotes.
- Influence leadership and program management through fact-based recommendations using data analysis.
- Support and influence the professional development of other data and business analysts.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional experience analyzing complex data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
- 3-5 years of experience in development, manipulation, and management of large data sets from various relational databases using SQL.
- 3-5 years of applied data experience with graphics/visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field with documented coursework in statistics or business analytics.
- Experience with statistical and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, and/or clustering).
- Strong coding skills in at least one statistical or programming language (R or Python preferred) to import, summarize, and analyze data.
- Expert knowledge of Query languages (e.g., SQL, U-SQL, etc.).
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication for individuals at all levels of analytical expertise.
- High degree of working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail industry experience.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
- Certifications in data analysis, project management, or related fields.
