Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Apple Home Advisor to join our remote team. As a Home Advisor, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and financial analysis to our customers, working directly with our legal teams, and driving impactful change through your expertise and analytical thinking. Key Responsibilities
- Attend Apple's financial meetings and provide financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support to our legal teams, including patent litigation, commercial and consumer litigation, competition, and content.
- Lead the reconciliation process with our accounting and finance teams to ensure expenses are properly reflected in Apple's financial statements.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and forecasts, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and delivering accurate expenditure monitoring and reporting.
- Create surveys and other media reports that provide valuable information related to litigation expenses and drive continuous innovation in all areas of the project.
- Collaborate with senior litigation counsel and legal leaders to establish and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.
- Improve current and forecasting processes to deliver more efficient and accurate expenditure monitoring, forecasting, and other reporting.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 4 years of experience in FP&A, with a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts and data in simple business terms.
- Strong data management skills, using both journals and databases, and experience with complex spreadsheets.
- Special attention and comprehensive expertise in planning, with the ability to manage processes and introduce automation and other work process improvements.
- A strong track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously under pressure and meeting critical deadlines.
- Familiarity with common and related financial systems, such as SAP, Business Objects, Workflow Planning, and Tableau.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Familiarity with litigation, competition, or compliance issues.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with an MBA and/or CPA being a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
