**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced full stack counsel to join our Digital Products, Data Analytics & Intellectual Property team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic guidance and support to our leaders and board members on various complex issues affecting our business operations and activities. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our digital products, data analytics, and intellectual property strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide expert counsel and guidance to leaders and board members on various complex issues affecting our business operations and activities.
- Demonstrate mastery in technology transactions, product development, intellectual property, marketing, security, and regulatory compliance, as well as the ability to be a generalist and learn new areas of regulation and legal skills rapidly.
- Develop and implement numerous business strategies on behalf of arenaflex's Digital and Information Investigation/Insight Organizations, including expert services agreements, vendor agreements, data licensing/permitting, and supply plans.
- Collaborate with teams across arenaflex's Digital Products and Information Examination groups and close external partners building, deploying, and operating technology for use by customers and patients.
- Work cross-functionally with the business, product, marketing, protection, security, and technology groups to develop and launch our digital products and service offerings to the public.
- Possess a deep understanding of arenaflex's digital products and service offerings, technology, security/information insurance frameworks, and strategies, as well as standard business and other agreements, to provide a foundation for offering legal support throughout arenaflex's Digital groups.
- Maintain a comprehension of arenaflex's organizations, technology, and product objectives, and challenges to establish and execute intellectual property portfolio strategies that align with those objectives, capture interests in innovation, and limit legal risk, working closely with external advisors.
**Work Liabilities**
- Primarily utilize knowledge of legal specialty in providing advice as it builds its understanding of the business setting in which it works.
- Audit and prepare official records before presentation to the board for execution to ensure accurate expression of the legal content.
- May receive explicit direction from the board or more senior legal experts regarding the results, process, and timelines anticipated.
- Teams up with the specialty units that it serves to achieve corporate objectives and alleviate unnecessary business risk.
- Research legal standards and precedents, connect with and manage external counsel, draft official records, collect relevant case-related data using multiple sources and techniques, provide work direction to other professionals, paraprofessionals, and support staff in developing solutions to issues presented.
- Maintain awareness of the legal and business trends that could impact those specialty units within arenaflex that it serves.
**Essential Capabilities**
- Juris Doctorate from a licensed graduate school and at least 5 years of post-bar lawyer legal work experience in a mix of law firm and corporate settings.
- Required licensure to provide legal counsel in at least one state.
- Required Illinois bar enrollment or active bar participation on favorable terms in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/scheduling and tracking details and meeting time constraints of various tasks with changing completion dates.
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.
