Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic analysis of credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance, providing actionable insights and recommendations that inform business decisions and risk management practices.
- Own and manage specific data assets/packages within Risk Finance, serving as a subject matter expert and power user of relevant tools, including troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying opportunities for enhancements and automation, and training other users to drive adoption.
- Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners, providing credit-related analytical support and ensuring that stakeholders have access to timely and accurate data insights.
- Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management, leveraging data science and analytics expertise to drive business outcomes and inform strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, and other departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and ensuring that data-driven insights are integrated into business decision-making processes.
- Provide decision-support with a strong emphasis on developing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio, which can be used to optimize business and risk decisions, drive growth, and mitigate risk.
Essential Qualifications
- Advanced experience working with a majority of the following tools and technologies: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1, with a strong foundation in data science, analytics, and risk management.
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex models, dashboards, and presentations that communicate data insights and strategic recommendations effectively.
- Experience in ML modeling is a plus, with a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
