In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our art, design, and engineering teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and challenges in our development process. You will collaborate with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs given the problem context and development timeline, implement the selected solution, and facilitate the adoption of the solution by the team. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting, developing, and maintaining our company's present set of engine-specific and custom tools that we use daily.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for empowering others to do their best work. You should have experience with the overall tool lifecycle, including coming across issues, comparing potential answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness. You should also be comfortable working with custom standalone tools and have experience growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines.
While not essential, experience with custom game engines, Unreal or Unity, and JavaScript and web tech would be highly desirable. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
