About Data Engineering at Netflix
Data Engineering at Netflix is a role that requires building systems to process data efficiently and presenting the data to drive analysis. These solutions can range from building data pipelines that bring business metrics to life to real-time processing services that integrate with our core product features. Additionally, we require our Data Engineers to have a deep understanding of large distributed systems on which our data solutions are built. Candidates should have expertise across several of these skill areas and generally should be very deep in at least one.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems that are scalable, reliable, and efficient
- Develop data pipelines that bring business metrics to life and drive analysis

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making and drive the implementation of data-driven solutions

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Experience with large distributed systems and data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Flink)
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Compensation and Benefits

Our pay structure consists solely of a yearly salary, and we do not offer bonuses. You select each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.
