About the Role
This role is an integral part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a customer service representative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to payment processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service while ensuring strict compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete data access and balancing tasks
- Coordinate return objects with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work on member cases and tasks assigned
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Complete daily balancing and department closing
- Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws
- Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
- Complete daily processing of workflows related to overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
