Key Responsibilities
- Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer interaction is friendly, helpful, and respectful.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, contributing to a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor, ensuring that the store is always fully stocked and visually appealing.
- Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, taking pride in maintaining a tidy and organized shopping environment.
- Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, ensuring that all transactions are efficient, secure, and accurate.
- Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any concerns or issues to management in a timely and professional manner.
- Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork.
Position Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent, with the ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.
- Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and working effectively in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating a commitment to flexibility and adaptability.
