Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Benefit Verification Specialist to join our national team at CVS Health. As a Benefit Verification Specialist, you will play a critical role in verifying insurance coverage, performing benefit investigations, and obtaining prior authorization for patients receiving in-home IV therapy. This dynamic and fast-paced role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage for patients receiving in-home IV therapy
- Perform benefit investigations to determine coverage and eligibility
- Obtain prior authorization for new and existing patients
- Process patient prescription orders in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers
- Stay up-to-date on insurance carrier policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Patient Intake Coordinators to resolve coverage and eligibility issues
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience working in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party vendors
- Epic experience
