Job Summary
As a Revenue Management Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing stock approaches in high-priority commercial initiatives, providing insights to the Commercial Team on demand patterns, performance, and the competitive environment. You will also assist in training and mentoring interns and analysts, providing analytical support to Yield Leadership, and working on cross-departmental projects. This is an entry-level role that offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in revenue management, data analysis, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain stock decision-making for high-priority markets, optimizing sales and assisting the low-fare brand in the portfolio of markets/towns contributing ~$400-700M annually
- Develop and recommend stock approaches for unique strategic projects, presenting findings and suggested moves to Leadership
- Perform in-depth data analysis on demand trends and reports, providing insights and recommendations to Leadership
- Develop movement plans that contain type of movement, degree, and route, translating into suitable movement; effectively communicate priorities and trends to the team
- Collaborate with the team to enhance RM workflow, improving efficiency, growth flexibility, and/or power sales
- Interpret the competitive environment, including network, schedule, pricing changes, events/holidays, and monetary trends; and interpret moves needed to optimize sales
- Train, coach, and mentor colleagues to expand their commercial acumen and/or technical capabilities
- Maintain layout user interfaces, dashboards, and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to provide findings and assist in recommended moves
- Collaborate closely with and communicate effectively with partners across the Commercial agency to achieve Commercial objectives
- May perform other task responsibilities as directed by Employee's Leaders
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Entry-level experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, or a comparable analytical field
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet programs
- SQL capabilities and/or the potential to learn new capabilities in current tools or new tools (Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management experience
- Experience presenting to Senior Executives
- Knowledge of financial standards and practices, and the evaluation and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of mathematics, algebra, statistics, and their applications
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to apply good judgment and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or strategies to problems
- Ability to identify complex issues and review associated data to develop and examine alternatives and implement solutions
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal to no guidance given
- Ability to communicate moves and plans to colleagues and leaders with supporting reasoning
- Ability to adapt plans based on changing business trends, changing skills, or changing priorities
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data by turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented and visualization software
