arenaflex's Information Science and Designing (DSE) team is dedicated to leveraging data, analysis, and science to enhance various aspects of our business. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our Games DSE team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting key pipelines to determine both individual game and overall game portfolio performance. This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with our game studio partners to understand the types of data that need to be collected and to work directly with our Game Development teams as they gather telemetry from specific games.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of arenaflex's gaming initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and engineering efficient, scalable, and adaptable data pipelines to handle both structured and unstructured data, ensuring seamless integration and analysis of complex data sets.
- Developing a deep understanding of the emerging games space at arenaflex, staying abreast of industry trends, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborating with our game studio partners to develop high-level metrics for games, such as retention and engagement, and working with arenaflex's internal game studios to ingest relevant metrics and game data into the arenaflex ecosystem.
- Partnering with the arenaflex SDK team and external game partners to obtain data through the arenaflex Games SDK, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration.
- Joining a talented team of data engineers with diverse skill sets, working closely with analysis engineering and data science partners to drive business outcomes and inform strategic decisions.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should possess a unique blend of technical skills, business acumen, and passion for innovation. We are looking for individuals who are:

- Highly proficient in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala, with a minimum of 2 years of programming or data engineering experience.
- Comfortable with advanced SQL and experienced in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets.
- Familiar with AWS cloud resources (S3, EC2, RDS, etc.) and able to leverage these technologies to drive scalability and efficiency.
- Skilled at taking requirements and implementing flexible data models and pipelines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and driving business outcomes.
