Job context
This position is a member of the Senior Management Team along with the Program Manager, Grants Manager, Finance Manager, Senior Operations Officer and Capacity Building Managers.
Programmatic - DMEAL: Overseeing the architecture of DDP DMEAL framework, community engagement and communication component of the programming as well as supporting the other program activities when needed
Fundraising and donor management: Drafting donor reporting and new proposal designs
Administrative tasks: filing, database maintenance, report writing, meetings, managing DMEAL officer and Community Engagement and Communications Officer
Responsibilities
Programmatic DMEAL
- Developing DDP DMEAL strategy and ensuring its application throughout the strategic period
- Contributing to DDP global strategy development and implementation
- Improving and strengthening monitoring and evaluation methods, and adding the learning from the impact of programming into the logical framework cycle
- Creating the master logical framework for DDP programming (in collaboration with Senior Management team and if necessary external consultants)
- Developing and preparing impact/results documentation to be used for external sharing (and possible fundraising purposes)
- Overseeing the implementation of community engagement activities, including relations with CiviCERT, RaReNet, etc.
- Supporting the Grants Team for selection of new subgrant applications (when needed) particularly providing support for CNF applications, as a member of the Grants Selection Committee
- Capitalizing on the learning and impact of programming to support DDP teams in defining clear implementation objectives.
- Overseeing the activities for community engagement and supporting the Community Engagement Officer in accomplishing the tasks
Fundraising and Donor Management
- Creating a yearly calendar for all donor deadlines and sharing with Senior Management Team
- Drafting the final versions of quarterly, interim, annual and other narrative reports for donors
- Preparing first drafts of fundraising potential proposals in collaboration with Senior Management Team
- Joining annual donor meetings and responding to ad hoc information requests from the donors
Administration
- Managing DMEAL Officer and Community Engagement and Communication Officer and providing a conducive working environment and well-being of the team
- Overseeing the maintenance of DMEAL database
- Initiating and attending bi-weekly (or monthly) team meetings
- Attending Senior Management team meetings (biweekly)
- Preparing monthly reporting
