The Director of Clinical Quality and Outcomes supports franchisee-owned BrightStar Care agencies to advance clinical quality initiatives including Joint Commission accreditation, training, compliance, quality improvement, clinical programs, and brand growth. They work with BrightStar’s directors of nursing, franchisees and franchise support center colleagues to ensure BrightStar Care agencies provide care at a higher standard. This role will report to the SVP, Clinical Operations. This position will be working from a home-based office reporting into the Franchise Support Center in Bannockburn, IL and will have the ability to travel to franchise locations and corporate office as needed. • Act as a subject matter expert/resource on skilled nursing best practices and BrightStar Care clinical programs and systems, provide ongoing training and clinical support to the Franchisees by coordinating, leading, developing and/or presenting clinical education opportunities, webinars, and support calls. • Responsible for the improvement of BrightStar Care’s clinical quality through creating and revising clinical programs, training franchise Directors of Nursing, quality improvement initiatives, and performance improvement projects. • Execute and measure the clinical quality platform and clinical outcome metrics by data collection, data analyses, and reporting of quality management data. • Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and forms. • Support franchise agencies with clinical guidance and serve as a resource for state and federal regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.), Joint Commission standards, and professional practice standards. • Provide timely, consistent messaging in supporting the Clinical Operations and Quality team, the FSC teams, professional partners, regulatory commissions and the franchisee organizations. • Contribute to BrightStar initiatives and collaborate with other BrightStar teams including technology, operations, marketing, product development, etc.. • Active unencumbered RN license in at least one state with 5-10 years recent clinical and management/supervisory and training experience; EDUCATION • BSN required, MSN/MPH or MBA preferred; SKILLS/ABILITIES • Outcome oriented; team player; • Able to work in fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities; • Ability to teach and train on processes and procedures; • Strong communication, training and compliance skills; • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; • Must be able to work productively in an environment with minimal supervision; • Ability to maintain confidentiality; • Excellent accountability and organizational skills; • Desirable: Experience with Private Duty Home Care, Medicare Home Health, Joint Commission Accreditation, Healthcare Quality, Electronic Health Records, and State Licensure/regulatory compliance.
