About the Role: Customer Care Representative I

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Care Representative I. This role is the first point of contact for our customers and is ideal for those who are proactive, solution-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As a Customer Care Representative, you will handle a variety of incoming customer calls, adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer calls in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accurate information is provided.
• Demonstrate an understanding of policies and procedures to respond to customer inquiries, striving to minimize the need for supervisor callbacks.
• Participate in voluntary and mandatory training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Assist with floor training and/or shadowing opportunities as needed.
• Complete special assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintain responsible time and attendance.
• Participate in mandatory and voluntary overtime as required.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A high capacity for multitasking independently and on a computer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience with SAP CRM and ECC systems.
• Previous experience working for a utility company.
• A thorough understanding and adherence to PUC rules/regulations, including Chapter 56 and Chapter 14, along with blithequark policies/procedures.

Our compensation package for this role includes:

• A competitive start rate of $19.00 per hour.
• A trainee incentive of up to $500 after successful completion of training and an additional $500 after 3 months of independent call-taking.
• Ongoing incentives of up to $250 per month for achieving or exceeding scorecard metrics once fully trained.
