About the Role
We are seeking a Fractional CFO / Operator to serve as both a strategic financial advisor and operational leader to our clients, primarily within private clubs, hospitality, and mission-driven organizations.
This is a 1099 contractor role designed for someone who can operate at both a high strategic level and step into the details when needed.
This role is not purely financial or back-office. You will be client-facing, involved in financial storytelling, and actively driving operational execution, helping leadership teams not only understand their numbers but improve how their business runs.
What You’ll Do
• Serve as the Fractional CFO and operational lead to clients, translating financials into actionable insights
• Act as a COO-type partner, helping implement processes, improve operations, and drive accountability
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives
• Present financials to leadership teams, boards, and stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve performance and profitability
• Support and oversee core accounting functions (reconciliations, financial prep, etc.) as needed
• Assist with system optimization, workflows, and financial process improvements
• Contribute to client growth through strategic conversations, execution, and occasional sales support
What We’re Looking For
• Experience operating at a CFO or Senior Controller level, with strong operational instincts
• Ability to bridge finance and operations, not just report numbers, but drive outcomes
• Strong understanding of how businesses actually run day-to-day, beyond accounting
• Comfortable in client-facing environments and presenting to leadership teams
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to grow into a senior strategic advisor role
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves while maintaining big-picture ownership
• Experience in private clubs, hospitality, or non-profits is a plus
Compensation
Pay: $50.00 – $75.00 per hour
