Job Summary
As a Certified Home Health Aide with Addus HomeCare, you will play a vital role in our team, providing essential care and support to our clients. You will work closely with our clients, their families, and our healthcare team to deliver personalized care plans that promote independence, dignity, and well-being. If you're a CNA, in school to become a CNA, or have 75 hours of documented Home Care training, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Care: Follow a care plan/service plan for each client and report on completed tasks.
- Personal Care: Assist clients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Household Chores: Perform routine house cleaning and light laundry tasks to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in client condition, including physical, emotional, or behavioral changes.
- Communication: Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Community Representation: Promote our positive image in the community as the leading home care provider.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Age and Education: Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: One year of experience in in-home care services or equivalent.
- Certifications: CNA or HHA certification, or currently enrolled in a CNA program.
- Background Check and Drug Test: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, and transfer clients, as well as perform physical tasks.
