Foley Mansfield is a national law firm with more than 110 attorneys in offices from coast to coast. Foley Mansfield is seeking a relationship and data driven Business Development Coordinator to support strategic growth initiatives across the firm’s practice areas and industries. This role is ideal for a professional who excels at building partnerships, conducting market research, and supporting attorneys in expanding client relationships and market reach. This position can be fully remote or hybrid. The candidate must reside in one of our business locations: CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, KS, LA, MI, MN, MO, NY, OR, TX, or WI. You will work directly with Marketing and Business Development Director, attorneys and firm leadership to enhance growth opportunities, strengthen industry positioning, and support revenue-generating initiatives. This role reports directly to the Marketing and Business Development Director. Opportunity for growth within the department. Key Responsibilities • Partner with Marketing and Business Development director and attorneys to support practice area development, industry reach and client growth strategies. • Assist in preparing RFP responses, pitch materials, and tailored client presentations. • Manage experience lists for each office and practice area. • Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify trends and business opportunities. • Monitor competitor activity and track emerging industry developments. • Support business development aspects of firm-hosted client events, sponsorships, and networking initiatives. • Support coordination of conference attendance, including pre- and post-event follow-up strategies. • Research and recommend the involvement of firm lawyers in professional organizations that will enhance visibility of lawyers and firm in the local, regional and industry platforms. • Partner with Marketing Department to prepare submissions for legal rankings, directories, and award applications. • Create, monitor and share Google Alerts related to clients, industries, legal issues and practice areas. • Maintain and/or implement client relationship database and support targeted outreach initiatives. • Assist with strategic initiatives to strengthen client relationships and cross-selling opportunities. • Track and report on business development activities and outcomes. • Liaise with outside marketing vendors, as necessary. • Assist with other marketing and business development activities, as required. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. • Minimum of three years of business development or marketing experience; law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with attorneys and leadership. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently to make intelligent, informed decisions. • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. • Excellent research and analytical skills. • Solid project management skills, business acumen and ability to understand marketplace trends. Technology Skill Set • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. • Experience with CRM/ERM systems a plus. • Interest, experience, and openness to work with AI marketing technology.
