U.S.-Licensed Attorney Needed: Demand Letter to United Airlines + Light Follow-Up (DOT Complaint Filed)
Job Description
I am seeking a U.S.-licensed attorney to draft and send one professional, attorney-signed demand letter to United Airlines’ Legal Department or Executive Customer Relations regarding a retaliatory denial of boarding incident.
This is a limited-scope engagement — no litigation, no court filings, and no ongoing representation.
Background Summary
•Denied boarding by a United gate agent after calmly asking for his name
• No disruptive, threatening, or unsafe behavior
• Wife and infant child were also denied boarding
• Tickets were canceled/refunded without consent
• Internal United complaints completed
• Formal U.S. DOT complaint filed and responded to
• United maintains its position and has closed internal review
I am seeking a final, attorney-level escalation to ensure the matter is reviewed by United’s legal or executive team.
Scope of Work
This engagement includes:
1. Drafting one concise, professional demand letter on attorney letterhead
2. Addressing the letter to:
o United Airlines Legal Department or
o United Executive / Corporate Customer Relations
3. Summarizing:
o Retaliatory denial of boarding
o Absence of documented safety threat
o Family-with-infant impact
o Unauthorized ticket cancellation
o DOT complaint history
4. Requesting appropriate resolution (measured, non-inflammatory)
5. Attorney signature
6. Sending the letter (email and/or certified mail)
7. Light follow-up coordination, defined as:
o Receiving any written response from United
o Forwarding the response to me
o One brief acknowledgment or clarification reply, if appropriate

Attorney Requirements
• Must be licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar
• Experience with:
o Consumer disputes
o Transportation / airline matters (helpful but not required)
o Civil demand letters
• Willing to privately provide bar state and number

Deliverables
• Final demand letter (PDF or Word)
• Confirmation of delivery
• Copies of any responses received
Timeline
• Letter drafted and sent within 5–7 days of engagement
Also its okay if a paralegal, law clerk, or JD to draft the letter AND they work under a supervising U.S.-licensed attorney. The attorney: Reviews the final draft, Signs it on firm letterhead, Sends it (or authorizes sending). The attorney’s name + bar number are on the letter.
