Job Summary: Volaris Group is seeking an Associate, M&A to join one of its rapidly growing portfolios. This role carries a global mandate to source high quality acquisition targets within the automotive software sector. You will begin with a strong focus on deal sourcing and, over time, gain exposure to financial modeling and deal execution as well. The ideal candidate is a motivated self starter who thrives with minimal oversight. You will manage and nurture an existing pipeline of acquisition prospects through consistent outreach, while also expanding the funnel by identifying new opportunities. Salesforce will be used to track, maintain, and report on sourcing activity. Job Description: The Associate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and sourcing high‑potential acquisition targets. Success requires developing a deep understanding of the portfolio’s acquisition thesis and applying sound judgment when advancing prospects through the funnel. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with senior‑level executives, internally and externally. You will receive extensive training in Constellation Software’s investment philosophy and acquisition framework. As you progress, you will also have the opportunity to support M&A execution, including financial modeling and valuation work. Key Responsibilities Target Research - Identify, analyze, and qualify new acquisition prospects across the global automotive software landscape. Nurture Existing Funnel - Manage a pipeline of existing prospects, build strong relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact to maintain momentum and trust. Financial Acumen - Assess company performance and financial health—including growth drivers, revenue mix, and customer retention—to determine whether prospects should advance to M&A execution. Reporting Structure - This role reports to the Manager, M&A, with occasional ad hoc requests from the Head of M&A. Qualifications & Requirements - Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and articulate business models. - Experience with Salesforce is beneficial but not required. - High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. - Comfortable initiating cold outreach and communicating with C‑level executives at small and mid‑sized companies. - Undergraduate degree, preferably in business (e.g., BBA, BCom)—from a leading university; an MBA is an asset but not required. Salary: CAD $80,000 - 90,000 Additional - This role is remote, but the successful candidate will be required to take a portion of their calls during Central European Time working hours.
