Ply is a fast-growing SaaS company focused on providing tools for the trades industries. They are seeking an early-career Account Executive to manage the full sales cycle for SMB accounts and contribute to a team culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from discovery through close on SMB accounts
- Manage a pipeline of active opportunities and move deals forward consistently
- Own the sales cycle from discovery, to demo to close
- Hit monthly and quarterly quotas and track performance accurately in HubSpot
- Learn the trades industries we serve (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and develop expertise that makes you a trusted advisor
- Contribute to a team culture of transparency, competitiveness, and continuous improvement
Skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales role (SMB, inside sales, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to have real conversations with prospects, handle objections, and move deals forward
- Hunger to improve: you want coaching, you take feedback, and you apply it
- Strong communication skills: clear, direct, and confident without being pushy
- Organized and accountable: you keep your pipeline clean and your commitments
- Competitive mindset and a high standard for your own performance
- Comfort in a fast-moving startup environment where processes are still being built
- Located in the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill): this role is hybrid, with regular in-office time
